Here are 6 pictures from yesterdays painting. I drew the face on the panel weeks ago and never knew if I wanted to paint it or not so i decided to just do it and see where it went. Click the pics for bigger image.
I then decided to cut up some papers and do some patchwork around the head.
Finally the finished piece.
Beautiful work. I am starting a series on the brain. And probably because of that, with your work that you show here, it occurred to me that the paper collage work is what’s going on in one corner of her brain. Then I love the way it’s all seeping into the image of her face. The process is great to see and for me, at least, the process is why I do art.
