These are two sketches for a portrait commission I’m doing. I’m trying to get a feel for the lovely lady but doing commissioned portraits always scare me a little because normally I like to play with proportions and feeling in the model, but since I’ve never met this girl it makes it hard for me when I don’t have a feel for her as a person. Maybe that’s weird since some of my art friends said I was being a “pussy”. One of the quotes was, ” Just paint it stupid. You know you can, so stop being a baby and just get on it already.”
